In Dallas, you can get a 95-degree afternoon, a sudden thunderstorm, and a cool evening all in the same day. A Vergola handles every bit of it.
Our motorized louvered roof closes into a system that is 99.9% weatherproof when a storm rolls in, then opens to let in 89% natural light when the sun comes back out. One button. One outdoor space. Every Texas season.
The world's original adjustable louvered roof, designed in Australia in 1984, now custom-built for high-end Dallas homes.

Vergola® is a complete outdoor living system. Engineered in Australia for over 40 years, awarded for its design, and built to outlast everything else on the market. Now custom-built for Dallas homes.
When fully open, a Vergola® lets in more natural light than any other adjustable louvered roof. Bright when you want it, shaded when you don't.
Interlocking aerofoil louvers close into a sealed roof. A smart rain sensor closes them automatically the moment the first drop of rain hits. Useful when a Texas thunderstorm shows up without warning.
Our patented double-skin aerofoil louvers create an insulating air gap that regulates temperature better than any single-skin aluminum system. Less heat in July. More warmth in January.
Adjust your louvers anywhere from fully open to fully closed. Run up to eight bays individually or together, from a remote or your phone.
Designed to handle hurricane-strength winds, tested across every climate zone. Built to Australian standards AS1562 and AS1170.2, which exceed US wind load codes for residential outdoor structures.
Vergola® is the only louvered roof system to win the Prince Philip Prize for Australian Design, plus three Australian Design Council awards for innovation. Forty years later, still the benchmark.
From poolside to outdoor kitchens, second-story decks to dining patios. Every Vergola® is custom-built to your home, your space, your style.
Real installations. Real customers. Real homes.
From the first consultation to install, the team made the whole process easy. The Vergola gets used every day, even when a Texas thunderstorm rolls through in the middle of a cookout. It just closes and we keep going.

Poolside Vergola®
We looked at a few different pergola options and nothing came close. The build quality is on another level, and being able to close the roof at the touch of a button has changed how we use the backyard year round.

Freestanding Vergola® over outdoor kitchen
The team handled the design, the permits, everything. Installation was quick and professional. The finished space is genuinely beautiful and the rain sensor is the feature we did not know we needed.

Yes. The motorized louvers rotate up to 165 degrees so you can set any angle of sun or shade. Each bay adjusts on its own, so different parts of the same space can be set to different angles.
The remote can be hand-held or wall-mounted. It connects to a concealed control box with a backup battery that keeps things running during power outages. A rain sensor closes the louvers at the first drops of rain. It can be turned off, but it reactivates automatically after an hour.
Yes. The double-skinned louvers provide thermal insulation and sound reduction, helping reduce heating and cooling costs by controlling direct sunlight on the windows and walls underneath.
Flat, pitched, or gabled. Freestanding or attached to your home. Bays can be combined with other roof coverings or set at different angles to suit the space.
There is no size limit. Each bay can be up to 20 by 12 feet, and a single remote controls up to 8 bays. Larger projects use multiple controllers.
Almost anything: outdoor furniture, kitchens, pools, grills, play areas, car ports, and more. Keep in mind it is still an outdoor space, so dust, leaves, and moisture can get in. Talk to the team first about gas patio heaters, as minimum clearances apply.
Yes. We have our own experienced Vergola® designers, and we work alongside architects and interior designers familiar with the product.
Once the support framework is complete, roughly one day per bay plus one extra day. A single-bay system takes about 2 days, a three-bay system about 4 days. Larger or more complex projects may take longer.
Under normal conditions, including a steady downpour, a closed Vergola® keeps the rain out. The louvers overlap to form a sealed roof. It is rain-proof rather than fully waterproof, so high-pressure water from a low angle can still get through. It is not a substitute for a fixed tile or shingle roof in extreme conditions.
It is very sensitive and closes the louvers at the first sign of moisture, similar to automatic windshield wipers on a car. You can override it for cleaning or to let rainwater through to plants. A warning light shows when it is disabled.
The system has integrated guttering that drains rainwater away through pipes. If runoff from an existing roof falls onto the Vergola®, you may need extra guttering on that roof.
Vergola® louvers are manufactured to withstand hurricanes and comply with US building codes IBC 2021, 201A, 2015 CBC 2022, and LABC 2023. The system is certified by IAPMO. Unlike canvas or fabric covers, the louvers will not rip, tear, or flap.
The patented aerofoil louvers are made from heavy-gauge COLORBOND® steel, far more impact-resistant than fabric or vinyl pergolas. Clear any ice before operating the louvers. If a major ice storm is forecast, leave the louvers open to avoid load build-up.
Yes. Many installations are on waterfront homes. If exposed to direct salt spray, simply rinse it down with fresh water weekly or after a heavy storm.
Patented aerofoil-shaped louvers made from COLORBOND® steel. The bearings have no moving parts, so the system runs near maintenance-free for years. Guttering is made from COLORBOND® or BlueScope Zincalume®.
A range of COLORBOND® colors including Surfmist, Classic Cream, Paperbark, Shell Grey, Woodland Grey, and the metallic Cosmic finish. Custom colors are available through powder-coating, though warranty terms differ.
Hose it down gently, or use a soft mop with car body detergent for bird droppings or debris. Turn the rain sensor off first. For louvers above sensitive areas, set them vertical and clean both sides with a damp mop on a pole.
Almost none. Replace the remote batteries occasionally, clear the integrated gutters if leaves build up, and keep the rain sensor clear of debris. Motors and control systems are sealed and maintenance-free.
